First, aiming without using bipod.
Every weapon that can be hipfired should have possibility to use iron sights without aim.
  • light machine guns should have " uncomfortable " aiming, i mean long time for putting LMG on your shoulder, relatively high sway that should not allow you to shoot very accurate on long distances and also high recoil of hipshooting should be here too.
  • The " Discomfort " of aiming from LMGs should depend on LMG's weight, type of bash, belt/mag, the way how LMG is handled by left hand and general comfort of aiming without using bipod. Examples:

- DP is relatively Light MG, it is using magazine,  left hand is holding its reciever, it has bash that is similar to rifle bash and its comfortable to aim with this bash. DP should not have big problems with aiming, it should be relatively quick.
- MG34 is much less comfortable to aim than DP. It is heavier, its bash is long that makes aiming without bipod quite uncomfortable, left hand is holding MG34's bipod and its impossible to hold bipod of MG34 and aim at the same time.
MG34 should have much longer time to aim and it also requires animations aim_into, aim_out and aim_idle with different left hand position.
Also MG34 with 50rnd box should be more comfortable to aim than MG34 with belt. This should also force players to choose 50rnd box over 100rnd belt.
- DT in infantry mode is more comfortable to am than DP, because it has pistol handle and adjustable bash, also its shorter, its bipod is located closer to shooter and in game left hand is holding the bipod. DT should have even lower time to aim than DP.
  • Some machine guns requires new animations for this aiming, i can do them.

  • Light machine guns shouldnt be ready to hipfire all the time, their main state should be similar to ro1 ( LMG is not directed straight forward, but slightly on the left side and cant be fired );
  • Soviet sprint animations can be used for this state;
  • There should be some button for putting your LMG in hipfire position, it can be melee ( mouse mid button ) or fire mode change (6) or both of them;
  • Walking speed should be lower when machine gun is in hipfire position;
  • When machine gun is in main state and player is trying to shoot it, it should automatically go in hipfire position and shoot. Of course, it should not be instant and should take some little time.

I feel LMG handling is fine and does not warrant a change until we have nothing better to do.

For me a high recoil while hipshooting would be better than being able to hipshot the MG like Rambo.

A transition to be able to hipshot would be great too.

Higher recoil & less stamina for shoulder fired.

Slower movement when hipfired.

The thing that annoys me most about MG's though is not being able to fire it without a bipod deployed. Even without being able to shoulder fire it, we should still be able to rest it on pretty much anything and fire it without the bipod.
